Principle of common sociality,
In the midst of the confinement, the importance of human connection became clearer to me. Although I’ve always managed to be surrounded by friends, I had very traumatic patterns of bonding and I still have trouble being vulnerable and opening-up to others. Being alone was very healing and gave me the time and space I needed to work on myself but also forced me to give up the belief that I was absolutely self-sufficient. I realized how precious little moments shared with other souls were, even when they weren’t incredibly deep or productive. This poem sums up the different feelings of these phases of awakening, and the resilience that comes when you finally accept that we all need to receive and give love, in all its ways.
