This is a cover of I AM WOMAN by artist Emmy Meli. I chose this cover to talk about the empowerment of women in our society. 

For me, the art of living together is about embracing each other’s identities and living at our fullest potential. For so long, women have existed as a minority and still do, have been silenced and had to dim their light in order to please, in order to not take as much space. I believe that empowering women can only improve our coexistence. This reinforcement of individuation for women is a core of the art of living together, as the true blossoming of an individual helps the collective. One that is not restrained, one that is not silenced will bring growth to an environment, as they are growing themselves. 

 

In the beginning, I sound a little scared as my voice is trembling. As the song is progressing, my voice is stronger as I realize who I am and step into womanhood.
